Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Teye Partey
Thomas Partey's agent has dismissed talks that Arsenal have held negotiations with the Atletico Madrid midfielder.
The 26-year-old has been strongly been linked to the Premier League side this summer.
However, Partey's father in an interview with the Ghanaian media confirmed that Arsenal have held talks with his son and would sanction the deal.
The Ghana international who has a deal that runs until 2023 and a release clause of 50 million euros, has been in talks with Atletico this season about extending his contract, although thus far there has been no agreement.
However, what has been made clear is that the 26-year-old is not currently discussing in negotiations about switching Atletico for Arsenal.
"It's totally untrue," JJSports, Thomas' representatives, said of the reported Arsenal negotiations.
