Ghana winger Edwin Gyasi has denied reports that he has signed a pre-contract agreement with Turkish SupaLiga side Besiktas JK.
Local media reports last week said that Gyasi who will be a free agent in the summer has signed a pre-contract with the Turkish giants.
The 28 year old’s is set to exhaust his contract with CSKA Sofia from Bulgaria and move on in the summer.
He has however debunked reports that he has signed with Besiktas.
“I am surprised with such publication,” he told Footballghana.com in an interview.
“I must say I am disappointed because with the situation we find ourselves, such things should not happen.”
“We all miss football but at the right football will be back. I have not signed pre-contract with Besiktas and I have not agreed personal terms with the club.”
Edwin Gyasi has played for the likes of Aalesund, Telstar, De Graafschap, FC Twente and Heracles Almelo.
Despite denyung penning a deal already, he has however expressed his desire to play in the Turkish league and for Besiktas in the future.
“Obviously every player would love to play for Besiktas because it’s a big club.”
“I love Turkey and I would love play in their league.”
