The Cercle Brugge midfielder, currently on loan from Bologna hopes that head coach Siniša Mihajlovi? will make him stay at the club when he returns.
The 23 year old made 16 league appearances for the Belgian side after making the loan switch in the summer of 2019 and feels ready to make a return to the Serie A.
In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, the former Cagliari star insisted that he is back to his best and wants to prove it when he returns to Italy.
"I hope that Mihajlovi? will make me stay. I know he respects me, he has always been loyal to me: when the loan ends at Cercle Brugge I want first of all Bologna and I will tell the coach. I am back to the real one and my will is to prove it in rossoblù."
He also mentioned that the Belgian Pro League may resume despite its cancellation recently.
"I can't wait to start again, they are thinking of resuming after saying stop. I can't do more training at home alone. Here I am finally reborn".
