The Chief Executive Officer of Eleven Wonders football club, Mr Albert Commey has asked his staff to claim their outstanding salaries from radio stations.

With the suspension of the Ghana Premier League following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Techiman based club is yet to settle the March salaries of its staff members including team players.

According to the club’s CEO, the situation is as a result of the effects of the pandemic on the finances of the club owner whose business has been greatly affected.

“We had to meet the owner of the club on Sunday on how to pay salaries and Nana Ameyaw told us even if we had to go for a loan facility to pay them we have to, because his cashew business has halted as a previous consignment sent to China has not been sold and no export has been done as well,” He explained in an interview with Oyerepa FM.

In a recent interview with Silver FM, he said while management worked on addressing the issue, some senior players have taken to the media to demand their outstanding salary, a situation he finds displeasing.

“I don’t know why the players used radio stations to discuss their salary arrears. It’s disappointing that certain top players led this act and I’m honestly displeased. If they believe they are on the right path then they should consult the same radio friends for the salary,” He is reported to have blurted out.

Eleven Wonders before the suspension of the Ghana Premier League were lying at 12th position on the league table with 19 points out of 15 matches played.
