Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority(NSA), Hon Kwadwo Baah-Agyeman has sent a signal to Ghanaian clubs not to lose hope as the government is preparing a package for them in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The football industry has been one of the most affected in the wake of the novel virus as all sporting activities have been suspended by the government since March.
Due to the impact of the pandemic, the clubs, through the GFA and GHALCA sent a proposal to the state for their inclusion in the stimulus package being rolled out to support the private sector but their hopes were dashed after Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Perry Okudzeto revealed that the sporting fraternity was not included in the package.
Despite the information from Perry Okudzeto, the NSA Board Chairman has assured the clubs of a surprise package in the coming weeks in an interview with Kumasi based Sika FM.
“I can assure all the clubs that, all is not lost for them. They should expect some surprise in the coming weeks"
