Africa football legend Abedi Ayew Pele has saluted 1978 Africa Footballer of the Year Abdul Razak describing him as a different player.
Pele has maintained that Mohammed Polo was his idol and learnt a lot from the Dribbling Magician but believes Razak was something else.
In his first media appearance in so many years on GTV Sports+, Abedi Pele revealed he was inspired by Razak’s goal against Tunisia in 1978 to rise to the position of captaining the Black Stars.
“He read the game very well…He thought before the ball got to him. The goal he scored against Tunisia for Ghana to qualify for the finals [in 1978] was an amazing goal” Abedi revealed.
