Asante Kotoko SC is about to offload ten payers from their academy when football resumes, according to the Youth Development coach of the club George Asare.
In November 2019, the Porcupines selected 40 outfield players and ten goalkeepers after their five days justify your inclusion trials.
In an interview with the club's communication channel Kotoko Express, Asare hinted that the affected players weren't honest with the club about their ages.
"We were able to get the correct ages and the quality that we wanted from the justifier," he said.
"However, we did some background checks on them with the help of the Deputy Accounts Officer, Richard Akoto and found that about seven to 10 of the players did not give us their correct ages."
He added, "We are going to keep the others and then move to the JHS and SHS for more talents. I have started talking to schools. The players we will get from the JHS will go to the U15 while the SHS players will go to the U19." he concluded.
