Flashback: Faces of Ghana’s football saboteurs unmasked as Anas premieres Number 12 today

Exactly two years ago today, the long reign of former Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi started to crumble after celebrated Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas announced the premier of an explosive documentary into Ghana Football.

The expose revealed the dark side of the Ghanaian game and by extension the African game, as referees and other influential figures in football were caught on take taking bribes to alter the results of various football matches on the continent.

But the biggest revealtion was that of Kwesi Nynataky, captured on tape receiving a large sum of money as a gift by investigators disguised as businessmen interested in investing in Ghana football and the Ghanaian economy.

The aftermath of documentary led to Nyantakyi's resignation as GFA boss, CAF Deputy President, WAFU President and his role as owner of Ghana Premier League side Wa All Stars.

Today June 6, 2018 is the D-Day to unravel the real faces of a cartel that is dragging backward the fortunes of football in the country in alleged shady deals as an investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas premiers his latest piece dubbed ‘Number 12’

Most Ghanaians are anxious to see who the faces are and what roles they played in some of the deals that have gained media discussions over the past weeks.

Both the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Anas Aremeyaw Anas himself dropped teasers of the video giving a foretaste of what viewers should expect as the video which has been characterized by controversies premieres.

Using cartoons to disguise the main characters, money exchanged hands and a coach of the team was seen literally begging players to lose a match that was about to be played for reasons unknown.
