Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah has named Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor as his godfather due to the positive advise he derives from him.
Mensah, who plies his trade for Turkish outfit Kayserispor in an interview with Don Summer of Angel FM in Kumasi revealed how the former Arsenal forward has been influencing his career.
The former Atletico Madrid player after scoring a sublime goal over the weekend for his side attributed his fine form to Adebayor and has, therefore, lavished praises on him.
“Emmanuel Adebayor is like a godfather to me. He uses to teach me how to get to the top”
“While at home during the COVID-19 period I was training. I normally talk to Asamoah Gyan but Adebayor is one person who does not joke with his training. He always tells me to train hard. So during the coronavirus break, I was training. The COVID-19 has helped me a lot” he said.
