Accra, Aug. 9, GNA - Two members of the Ghana Cycling Association (G= CA) have been given international appointments by the Confederation of African Cycling (CAC).
Sahnoon Mohammed, Chairman of the GCA has been appointed a member of the Scrutiny Committee of CAC, whilst Shaaban Mohammed, the Technical Director of GCA has also been appointed as a leading Commissaire for Cyclin= g Events in the impending All Africa Games in Maputo Mozambique.
The appointments were as a result of the excellent contributions of th= e two individuals to the development of the sport in Ghana and Africa. Information gathered by GNA Sports reveals that the two appointments were made at the just ended CAC Congress held in Nairobi, Kenyan. The Congress was attended by the President of World Cycling Body, the International Cycling Union, (UCI) Mr Pat McQuaid and the Coordinator in charge of National Federations 96 Mrs. Dominique Raymond.
