D-Flex, born Abubakar Alhassan, has reacted to rumours about his new song, ‘Opollo, competing with other songs in the system.
The rapper and singer, who recently re-launched his musical career again with the new club banger, said his new song was not competing with any other song already on the market as being speculated.
“My single ‘Opollo’ is a club banger. I did the song with nobody in mind but my fans. Hence if people are saying the song is in competition, then I think my fans will be very happy we are re-launching the career and it is looks very bright already,” he said on a local radio station.
“Let me quickly say that I am in no competition; my management team will confirm that as well so please whether it is the musicians themselves or their fans spreading that rumor, I will plead for it to stop,” said the artiste who is currently in the camp of Eastern World Entertainment.
Executive producer and CEO of Eastern World Entertainment, Samuel Gyimah, alleged that “D-Flex had received some threats from people that his current song is worrying their single but for us, we are on the cool because we know what we are about.
“At the 4syte TV Music Video Awards, we overheard some of the just returned artiste telling him, he (D-flex) has made up his mind not to listen but he should be on guard. We heard that and ever since we have not stopped but intensified his promotion, just to tell them we are here to stay.”
D-Flex has been on Ghana’s music scene for years now. He has shared the stage with top names like KK Fosu, Kofi Nti and Ofori Amponsah. He is hopeful of making a great impact this year.
