Whilst some children are suffering from malnutrition and studying under trees in Ghana, some DEMENTED Ghanaians with 'NO BRAIN' at all are happy to waste the little resources at their disposal on some 'FRIVOLITIES' such as Rihanna concert in SA? OMG! These Ghana people, where is your brain? Some of these US artistes DO NOT even respect you Ghanaians, (see Chris Brown, 'DISRESPECTING' you by smoking illegal substance on stage in your capital Accra, a thing he dare NOT do here in Europe, or in USA, not even in Nigeria), and yet you are glad to waste your money to go all the way to SA to watch Rihanna, (in what you called a lifetime what...?). Unfortunately, this same Rihanna, would not even notice you in the crowd with all your 'SHOWING OFF' mentalities jamborees. Who are you moronic people trying to impress? I could now see the true meaning of the saying that: "Common sense is NOT common with some people." Need I say more?

10 Girls Raped In Ghana Daily
Source:The Finder
February 6, 2013
Hardly a day goes by without a report on a child defilement case in the media, and according to child rights groups working on the issue, at least 10 girls under the age 16 are defiled every day in the country.
They say that even though the cases reported in themselves are alarming, they constitute only about 10% of such abuses, as the overwhelming majority of the cases are hushed.
The penalty for defilement was increased in the 1998 amendment to the Criminal Code (ACT 29) to a minimum of seven and a maximum of 25 years without an option of a fine. Yet recent studies show that sexual abuse of children in Ghana is still alarming high.
Figures from the then Ministry for Women and Children Affairs (MOWAC) put the annual case of reported defilement cases at around 800 a year, but according to one of the groups working to stop the practice, Light For Children Ghana, this is only a small portion of an alarming national catastrophe.
For this year alone, Ghana News Agency bulletins have been recording an average of about three defilement case a day.
The majority of the defilement cases are hushed, according to child psychologists, because in some case the victims do not understand what has happened to them or are afraid of being shamed or accused of being bad girls.
Some guardians also prefer to keep such incidence to themselves.
This is especially the case where the abusers happen to be family members. There have also been cases of neighbors, teachers, pastors and all sorts of people abusing girls some as young as two years.
There are also instances where guardians go to the police, but later stop following the case and give up because they find the processes cumbersome, studies indicate.

Idioooooottttt anago people are the rapists, go and ask your village senator Sani Yerima(pronounced: SE NA TA) not (SE NA TO) as anago, alata would say.
A Nigerian senator accused of marrying a 13-year-old Egyptian girl says he has done nothing wrong.
Ahmad Sani Yerima, 49, told the BBC that his fourth wife was not 13, but would not say how old she was.
He denied breaking the law but said he would not respect any law that contradicted his religious beliefs.
The Nigerian senate ordered an investigation after complaints from women's groups but the senator said he did not care what the groups thought.
A spokesman for the Egyptian embassy in Nigeria has said the girl is still at school in Egypt.
As a Muslim, as I always say, I consider God's law and that of his prophet above any other law
Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima
"Nobody has complained to the embassy in respect of the girl," Mohammed Saber told the AFP news agency.
He said however that the embassy "will follow the issue" because it is illegal in Egypt to marry an underage girl.
Mr Sani was the governor of Zamfara state, where he oversaw the introduction of Sharia law - for the first time in a northern state - in 1999.
'Detractors'
He said he felt this was behind the uproar over his marriage.
"I consider all those complaining about this issue as detractors, because since 1999... many people have been waging different kind of wars against me," he told the BBC's Hausa Service by telephone from Egypt.
The senator said he had followed "standard rules for marriage in Islam".
This very evil act should not be seen to be perpetrated by one of our distinguished legislators
Mma Wokocha
Women's Medical Association head
"I don't care about the issue of age since I have not violated any rule as far as Islam is concerned," he said.
"History tells us that Prophet Muhammad did marry a young girl as well. Therefore I have not contravened any law. Even if she is 13, as it is being falsely peddled around.
"If I state the age, they will still use it to smear Islam," he said.
The BBC's Caroline Duffield in Lagos says newspaper reports of the marriage have created a storm among human rights groups.
Female senators - lawyers and doctors - who are protesting say that they fear for the child's health.
"What we are concerned with is that our minors, the girl child, should be allowed to mature, before going into marriage," Mma Wokocha, president of the Women's Medical Association and one of those behind a petition, told the BBC.
"This very evil act should not be seen to be perpetrated by one of our distinguished legislators... that is what we are saying.''
The senator is reported to have paid a dowry of $100,000 (£66,000) to the child's parents - and to have brought the girl into Nigeria from Egypt.
The women's groups want Mr Sani to be taken to court, to face a fine and a jail sentence.
They say he has contravened the Child Rights Act of 2003 which, although not ratified by all Nigeria's 36 states, is law in the capital, Abuja, where he lives and where his marriage is believed to have taken place.
"As a Muslim, as I always say, I consider God's law and that of his prophet above any other law," Mr Sani said.
"I will not respect any law that contradicts that and whoever wants to sanction me for that is free to do that."
Newspaper reports have also accused the senator of having previously married a 15-year-old girl in 2006.

Kumasi residents condemn macho rapist
Story by Ohemeng Tawiah, Nhyira FM/Ghana
By myjoyonline
General News | 2 August 2009
Some residents in Kumasi have described as callous and barbaric the conduct of a heavily built man said to have forcibly had sex with a 19-year old girl in public.
Twenty-nine year old gym instructor, Eric Adjei-Bawuah was arrested at Asafo on Wednesday after the dastardly act he visited on his victim in the full glare of about 50 bystanders.
The victim was on her way to board a vehicle to Accra when the suspect was said to have forced her into a taxi and then into a drinking spot where he raped her.
Residents have been expressing shock at Bawuah's behaviour, and want justice for the victim.
Some of them were at the Regional Police headquarters to catch a glimpse of the suspect.
Reggae musician, Sasha Marley is one of those demanding that the law comes heavily on Bawuah.
'Is it sickness in the mind or what, doctors have to examine his mind and if he is in the right mind, he got to be dealt with according to the laws of the land. No one is above the law' he said.
Marley also wants the authorities to help weed out all social misfits from the society.
Meanwhile, relatives of the victim have dismissed Bawuah's claims that she is a prostitute who had consented to the sexual affair.
An elder sister, Akosua Mensah, who said she personally saw-off her sister at dawn of Wednesday, claimed the victim is an apprentice in Accra and has been experiencing pain in her private part in addition to having sleepless nights and loss of appetite since the attack on her.
Eric Adjei-Bawuah who claimed to be a gym instructor in Accra is expected to be arraigned before court on Monday August 3rd on robbery and rape charges.

A NIGERIAN, Emmanuel Ehkator, has been sentenced to three-year jail term by a District Court judge in Pennsylvania in the United States of America, Yvette Kane, for criminal conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the anti-graft agency that investigated the scam in Nigeria before the extradition of Ehkator to the U.S. in 2011, said yesterday that the convict is also to pay $11 million restitution to the victims.
“The conviction of Ehkator, 42, who was arrested in Nigeria by the EFCC in August 2010 and extradited to the United States in August 2011, followed his plea of guilt,” the EFCC said in a statement.
Justice Kane also ordered Ehkator’s forfeiture of properties in Canada and the contents of several bank accounts in Nigeria.
EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said that while the trial lasted, the prosecutor informed the court that Ehkator was part of an attorney collection scam with the convict contacting U.S. and Canadian law firms by e-mail claiming to be individuals or businesses outside North America who were owed money by entities in the United States and asked for legal representation to collect the money.
The prosecutor was said to have further told the court that, often, the prospective “clients” said the money owed came from a real estate transaction, tort claim, or divorce settlement.
“Once the law firm agreed to represent the out-of-country client, the law firm would be contacted by the U.S. entity purportedly owing money with an offer to pay the client by cheque. The client would instruct the law firm to deposit the cheque in the law firm’s trust account, retain the law firm’s fee, and wire the remaining funds to accounts in Asia.
“The cheque that was then mailed to the law firm would be a counterfeit cheque, a fact that would be discovered only after funds from the law firm’s trust account had been wired to the Asian bank,” the prosecution said.
The counterfeit cheques, which appeared to be drawn on legitimate accounts from well-established financial institutions, often included a telephone number for the financial institution.
Lawyers attempting to determine the validity of the cheque would call the number only to reach another conspirator who would falsely verify the cheque.
The court was also told that Ehkator’s involvement in the scheme makes him responsible for losses of more than $7 million and up to $20 million.
Ehkator’s co-defendant, Yvette Mathurin, has also been charged for conspiracy and is awaiting extradition from Canada while another co-conspirator, Kingsley Osagie, was arrested as he arrived in Atlanta from Nigeria and is currently awaiting trial in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
According to the EFCC’s statement, other co-conspirators are pending extradition from several foreign countries as investigation continues against other members of the large, multi-national conspiracy.
Aside from the EFCC, other agencies that investigated the crime were the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Secret Service, the Toronto Police Services and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Drugs send more Ghanaians to jail in Turkey

More Ghanaians are currently serving different sentences at the various penitentiaries in Turkey for banned drugs related offences.
These people, including females, have been sentenced to various prison sentences by the Turkish authorities.
Ghana High Commissioner to Turkey, Alhaji Abass Ibrahim made this known in an exclusive interview with DAILY GUIDE.
He said some Ghanaians have lately adopted Turkey as a safe haven for transporting illicit drugs.
Alhaji Abass said modern sophisticated machines planted at the various airports in Turkey have contributed to the arrest of these illicit drug dealers.
Alhaji Abass lamented that “the common offence sending Ghanaians to prison in Turkey was mostly drug related offence.”
According to him, other offences that are sending Ghanaians to prison in Turkey like “living without permit and other crimes are minimal,” reiterating “drugs are sending more Ghanaians to prison here.”
Alhaji Abass said the Ghana Embassy offered legal and other key support to help arrest Ghanaians in Turkey.
He sternly warned Ghanaians that have the idea of smuggling illicit drugs to Turkey to quickly change their minds.
According to him, Turkish security agents were well-trained and equipped with modern gadgets to detect illicit drugs hidden on people.
He stressed that anybody that would try smuggling illicit drugs to Turkey to make money would surely be apprehended at the airport.
In another statement, he said, any attempt by Ghanaians to make Turkey their preferred destination for transportation of illicit drugs could taint Ghana’s image.
Alhaji Abass said the Turkey Consulate in Ghana has been issuing visas to Ghanaians lately to visit Turkey and engage in legal business.
He warned that any attempt by Ghanaians to make Turkey their destination for illicit drugs might force the Turkey Embassy to refuse Ghanaians Turkey visas.
Alhaji Abass entreated Ghanaians in Turkey to lead upright lifestyles and serve as good ambassadors of Ghana to help deepen the good relationship existing between Ghana and Turkey.
