  It is because of our innate character and attitude about life and advancement. Ghanaian civility, society, music, speech,fashion and etiquette was way up there with advanced nations, until Akans invaded the capital, wanted to take us back to our primitive ancestry, under the pretext of culture and local content, now see what we've got. Mediocrity,monotonous native songs passing as dance music, elevator music, filling station music and office symphony. Twi music and movies has undoubtedly denigrated the quality of life in Ghana as we know it today. It gets worse when you recognize that there are far intricate and finer forms of music from many other cultures and groups in Ghana than this Hiplife, Oodor this oodor that and onyame in every freaking song played in Ghana.Are we so scared to die and go to hell that we have to blaspheme in every twi song,or beg God to forgive us for the sin we are about to commit...it is sickening, and even those who purport to recognize our folly are part of the problem
