Certain professional bodies need to be very careful with their decision making especially when it involves political matters. Even though musicians do have their prerogative to support any political party of their choice it is not wise enough to declare it publicy. As long as political victimisation still remains one of the diseases affecting the African so called democracy, such artists or musicians risk losing a lot of things in their career. .Citing commercials or advertisement is one simple example. Do you think a die hard Ndc CEO of COCA COLA is ever going to favour Daddy Lumba or Kwabena Kwabena for any commercials deal ? I really do not understand why a respected musician like Charles K. Fosu would be so bold enough to declare his party affiliation. I have always respected Kojo Antwi for his neutrality as far as politics is concerned. That doesn't mean he do not have a political party of his choice. Is Lumba doing this for the mere fact that he is an Ashanti by birth ? Is he really aware of the consequences should NPP do not succeed in coming to power ? I do not know much about Kwabena Kwabena but he also needs to be very careful with his decisions.
