A piece of music ; instrumental or vocal becomes evergreen , a standard , a hit , a masterpiece when in the composition , there are ingrediences to make the music very tastety . Such ingrediences are 1, a good melody , 2 , chordal progression with tensions to color the chords like added 9th , 13th , b5th a good sound effects ; eg. the 5th degree on top of the chord which is retained to become the 9th a color to make the music sound sweet and effective . A song can never be a hit by itself if what i've mensioned above is not in your compisitions . Your music isn,t a hit else you have to pay the djs to make your song a hit .
