Mr. Villager, please in boxing there is knock out and knock down. A boxer is knocked down with a punch but can manage to beat the referee's count to continue fighting. A knockout out is when the boxer is knocked down with a punch and failed to beat the referee's count so the fighter is counted out. There is also a technical knock out where the referee stops the fight to save the boxer from further punishment or the boxer refusing to answer the bell for the next round after the call for seconds out. Again there is a technical knock out when the corner of a boxer throws in the towel to save the boxer from further punishment and also based on the decision of the ringside doctor after the boxer have been injured during the fight. It is a boxing sport language that the writer used in the story.
