AGI president bids farewell to outgoing Kenya Ambassador to Ghana

The President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) bid farewell to H.E. Eliphas Barine, the High Commissioner of Kenya to Ghana, as he completed his term of office in Ghana.

The visit was initiated by the outgoing High Commissioner, and in his farewell statement, he expressed his utmost gratitude to AGI for the immense support demonstrated in deepening industrial cooperation between Ghana and Kenya. He specifically mentioned the recent visit of Kenyan President William Ruto and his business entourage to Ghana.

The High Commissioner pledged that when he leaves for Kenya, he will continue to work to ensure that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between AGI and the Kenyan Association of Manufacturers achieves the desired results.

In response, the President of AGI, Dr. Kwesi H. Ayim Darke, expressed his appreciation for the High Commissioner's support to the Ghanaian private sector and his participation in AGI events, including the last AGI Annual General Meeting in the Volta Region.

He assured the High Commissioner that AGI would set up a working committee to facilitate the functions of the MoU.

The AGI team present at the meeting included Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah, CEO, Mr. Ralph Ayitey, the National Treasurer, Dela Gadzanku, Chairman for AGI Volta, Oti, and Eastern Regions, Mr. John Defor, Director of Policy and Research, and Mr. Humphrey Jojo Quayson, Senior Public and International Relations Manager.
