Accra bourse index makes marginal gain

Accra, Feb. 13, GNA - The benchmark measure of the Ghana Stock Exchange, the GSE-All Share Index rose marginally by 0.5 point to close 4,728.63 points from 4,728.13 points in an active market that saw 7.335 million shares changing hands.

The gain moved the change for the year to date slightly to -0.85 per cent from -0.86 per cent.

Buoyed by block trade in the shares of Golden Web, which sold in 7,272,700 shares, total shares traded went up to 7,335,000 from 78,800 on Friday.

The only price change stood in the name of Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited (GGBL), which gained eight cedis to close at 8,410 cedis. Market capitalisation was up slightly at 91,750.37 billion cedis up from 91,749.06 billion cedis on Friday.
