Akim Manso, March 18, GNA - As part of its contribution towards a clean and healthy environment, the Management of Birim Wood Complex, a wood processing company at Akim Oda on Friday, assisted the people of Akim Manso with a tractor to clear a vast refuse dump. The General Manager, Mr Joe Mensah told the Ghana News Agency after the exercise that the gesture was part of the social responsibility of the company to the communities in which it operates. The Chief of Akim Manso, Obrempong Sintim Poku III expressed gratefulness for the exercise, saying it would prevent a possible outbreak of communicable diseases such as cholera in the town.
