A symposium dubbed “Zaa Radio Entrepreneur and Investment Month” aimed at sharing knowledge and expertise to propel the development of northern parts of Ghana has opened in Tamale.
The month-long symposium organized by Zaa Radio, a Tamale-based station, brings together renowned bankers, investors, local businesses and the general public.
Speaking at the opening of the symposium on Thursday, Mr Alhassan Andani, Managing Director of Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited said the prevailing conditions such as peaceful coexistence, tourism and agricultural potentials made it imperative to invest in northern Ghana.
Mr Andani, therefore, called on citizens and prospective investors to tap into the rich potentials of northern Ghana to create employment and wealth for rapid development.
Alhaji Mohammed Umar, Chief Executive Officer of Zaa Radio said his outfit was interested in promoting northern Ghana as a preferred investment destination in the country, hence the symposium.
He expressed the hope that this strategy would help create jobs and enhance the living standards of people.
