Accra, Aug 13, GNA - Ghanaian companies have been asked to collaborate efforts to exploit the potentials of their workers to ensure the manufacturing of quality products and the provision of services at affordable prices.

Mr Michael C. Attipoe, Managing Director (MD) of Africanus Net Limited, made the call at the launch of a premier Internet pre-paid card in the country in Accra on Thursday.

Africanus Net Limited and Fruit of the Spirit Company Limited developed the facility that could enable computer users in the country to access information on the Internet at cheaper fees.

Mr Attipoe gave the assurance that the two companies would bring Internet and other telecommunication services to the doorsteps of ordinary Ghanaians at affordable price.

Mr Bernard Okyere-Mensah, MD of Fruit of the Spirit Company, said with the new pre-paid card, costing 65,000 cedis, Internet users would require 10 hours every month or less for web browsing or sending e-mails.

He expressed the hoped that the new product would be patronised by majority of Ghanaians for national development.

The Reverend Yaw Owusu-Ansah, a Clergyman, who launched the product, urged other Information Communication Technology companies to produce new products that could assist in keeping the people abreast with the changing times.

Mr Erasmus Kobla Kalitsi, former MD of the Volta River Authority, who presided over the function, commended the two companies for their vision to improve ICT in the country.
