Until the end of June, a campaign billboard in Tema Port calls out to Ghanaian companies to participate in the ‘Export Hero’ contest, by sharing their business story. Participants can win a personalized factsheet with valuable market information - worth 5.000 GHS - that can help them export their products to Europe, and grow their business.

Many export opportunities

Europe offers many opportunities for Ghanaian exporters, for example, in the fresh fruit, cacao, shea and natural ingredients for cosmetics sectors. Companies that want to seize these opportunities should start by doing market research. Taking part in the ‘Export Hero’ contest will make this very easy.

Valuable market information

The personalized factsheet - worth 5,000 GHS - will help the winner find out which European markets offer most opportunities for his or her product. It will contain information about the latest trends on the European market and about meeting the requirements of European buyers. The factsheet will also provide the winner with many tips about finding buyers in Europe, dealing with competitors, finding the right market segment to target and much more.

The market research for the factsheet will be done by CBI, a Dutch governmental organization that stimulates exports from developing countries to Europe. With over four decades of experience in doing market research, CBI has already supported many entrepreneurs from developing countries in getting their exports to Europe rolling.

How to win?

Companies from Ghana are all invited to visit www.cbi.eu/marketinfo/ghana to start doing their market research. To win the personalized factsheet and become a Ghanaian ‘Export Hero’, ambitious exporters and aspiring exporters should tweet about their business or product using hashtag #TemaExportHeroes. Participants who don’t have a Twitter account can send an email to exportheroes@cbi.eu and CBI will tweet their story for them.

CBI

CBI contributes to sustainable economic development in developing countries through the expansion of exports from these countries to European markets. CBI offers coaching programs for exporters and provides information about export opportunities to companies, business support organizations and governmental authorities.
