Morocco, Ghana discuss mining sector

Rabat, Morocco, 07/23 - Moroccan Energy and Mines minister Mohamed Boutaleb and his Ghanaian counterpart Cecilia Bannerman held discussions here Thursday on cooperation towards strengthening the mining sector in the two countries.

At a press briefing, Boutaleb reaffirmed Morocco`s readiness to enhance bilateral cooperation in the sector.

"Morocco intends to promote small-time mining that would enable the creation of more technical and seasonal jobs," he explained.

On her part, Bannerman said the two countries have enormous potential, and called for fresh impetus to bilateral cooperation in the energy and mining sectors, notably in the exchange of information and experience
