Management of embattled gold firm, Menzgold Ghana Company Limited has reassured its customers of their capacity and willingness to reimburse them with the value of their primary gold trade despite the recent happenings.
Menzgold is in legal fight with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over a regulatory impasse which has resulted in the company suing the state body.
Some clients, out of frustration, attacked some staff of Menzgold, a situation which forced the temporary closure of the company’s offices last Friday.
CEO Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, has urged anxious and worried customers to remain calm as his company does everything possible to pay them all that is due them
Head of Communications, Nii Armah Amarteifio, in a communique, also stated, “We affirm that no one will lose a cedi. This our commitment to our customers as a trusted brand and an indigenous company.”
Explaining the current challenges faced by the company, Mr Amarteifio, noting that the principal concerns of its customers is for the return of their primary value of gold traded with the company, he has assured that the company will “pay and return” to every customer the full value of gold traded in 90 days.
