Proceedings in NAM1's trial will be held virtually
An Accra High Court has directed that proceedings in the ongoing criminal trial of Nana Appiah Mensah, widely known as NAM1, be conducted virtually.
The update was shared on X by DEK360 on Monday, March 30, 2026.
“Lawyers for Nana Appiah Mensah, former CEO of Menzgold, have been notified by the Accra High Court that the case will proceed via virtual hearings,” the post stated.
According to the report, the court received a medical note from the accused.
“The decision follows a medical excuse submitted to the court, with a doctor recommending that he avoid strenuous activity,” it added.
NAM1 goes ill; receiving urgent medical care after press briefing
The case forms part of a lengthy prosecution arising from the collapse of Menzgold, which reportedly left thousands of customers defrauded.
The High Court has instructed him to begin presenting his defence as proceedings move forward.
