Former Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammi Awuku, has officially handed over to Salam Gulbia, who has been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama as the Acting Director-General.

In a post announcing the transition, Sammi Awuku extended his best wishes to Salam Gulbia, encouraging him to break barriers and stereotypes in service to the nation.

He also expressed his hopes for wisdom, strength, and success for Salam Gulbia in this new chapter of leadership.

Sammi Awuku’s post on the handover read, "Congratulations to King Salam Gulbia on his appointment as the new Director-General of the National Lottery Authority.

"I am honored to pass the torch to another passionate Ghanaian.

"I deeply appreciate his willingness to take on this role, breaking barriers and demonstrating that service to our nation and contributions to the Consolidated Fund transcend all boundaries.

"I wish him wisdom, strength, and success in this new chapter. Together, let’s keep moving Ghana forward."
