Ghanaians and the diehard fans of the fast rising artiste, Castro has been thrown into mourning since 5th of July when it was announced that De Destroyer crooner drowned while on a Jet Ski at the Ada Estuary resort. Since then, a lot of how the drowning happened are being bounded about despite the fact that no eye witness account can be legitimately be relied upon?
Who saw that the lady riding shotgun on the jet ski fell into the river or sea and Castro jumped in to save her since there was no witness?
Some people have been referring to this lady as mermaid(Maame Water) and want to blame her for Castro's death which has infuriated the parents of this 24 year old beauty parents whose father was a former military staff sergeant and a known Athlete.People have forgotten that Janet Bandu, the drown lady in question parents are also mourning the apparent death of their daughter and should be left to mourn their daughter in peace. The fact that she was not a celebrity does not mean that her death should be marginalized.
A lot of people want to have their fifteen minutes of fame and are coming up with some silly stories that defy logic and that should not have got any air time but our infant radio stations that lack professional integrity have thrown decency to the winds and broadcasting these stories.
One of these cuckoos professing to be a soothsayer has come out to explain why Castro is missing. According to him, "Maame Water" mermaid wants to marry Castro for three years and have children with him and after that, Castro will come back to earth as if nothing happened.
Another one predicted that the body will definitely be found today,06/09/14, no two ways about it because that is what his spirit has told him.
What I found curious and personally primitive is how some chiefs at these area where the drowning supposedly took place has gone to the area with Greater Accra Regional Minister where they were drowned and poured some schnapps into the water so that the sea will release the bodies and promised the bodies will be found in a couple of days. Are these predictions based on spiritual powers or it is based on science? When people get drown, the bodies usually come to the surface within 3 days to a couple of weeks based on biological theories and not any spirit. Basically what happens is the body starts to rot after about 2-3 days, which causes gases to form inside the body...then it floats for a day or two, until the gases escape, then it sinks again. That's why they call drowning victims "floaters". when you first drown, you sink for a few days, that's why they "drag" for bodies. Then you bloat, and they just look for you floating...then a couple days later, if you weren't found, they drag again, because the gas escapes and you sink for good! . A large overweight person with lots of body fat will float quite well.
Where the search party has been concentrated is the estuary and that is where the river joins the sea and this place is dangerous for anybody whether a good swimmer or not because of the current. The body at the moment since they haven't found it might have been carried away miles away where they were drowned. Some of the drowned bodies are not found at all because they stay in the sea bed or they are eaten by the sharks.
May the Almighty have mercy on the families and at least if these people are dead, let the bodies be found.

Alan Kyeremanten Cash
The NPP Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East constituency, Mavis Hawa Koomson, has accused supporters of flagbearer aspirant, Alan Kyeremanten of leaking the party’s strategies and confidential information to the NDC during the 2008 and 2012 elections.
According to her, senior members of the party have credible evidence that people loyal to the former Ghana ambassador to the US have been snitching on the party for some time now.
“They think we don’t know? We know what they have been doing, they only scatter after we have gathered but we will no longer allow them. I am telling them, we know that they have been giving information to the NDC.
“We know that but for their wicked intentions and leaks Nana Akufo-Addo will be in power today. There is no way Alan will beat Nana in any election. They pretend they are with us but only end up leaking our secrets and strategies to the NDC,” the MP told Accra-based OK FM.
She also threatened to ensure that the former trade minister gets no vote in her constituency in the party’s upcoming national delegates' conference scheduled for October 18 to elect a flagbearer.
Kyeremanten will come up against the two-time presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo and three others in the October conference.

Arthur Kobina Kennedy Utag
Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has charged one of the contenders for the flagbearership race, who he describes as an “insurgent candidate,” to come out and expose Nana Akufo-Addo’s bad record on violence.
To him, Alan Kyeremateng must devise a new strategy by questioning the rationale behind the deafening silence of Nana Akufo-Addo on the numerous violent incidents that have occurred in the party recently.
“… Ask why he has kept quiet on the many violent activities of people believed to be his supporters? Why is he quiet? Why did he say ‘all-die-be-die’ and why did he say Atiwa? Put those questions to him and expose his record on violence,” he urged on NEAT 100.9
According to Dr. Arthur Kennedy, posing these questions would bring to bear the stand of the 2008 and 2012 Presidential candidate of the NPP and how he has contributed to violent situations over the years.
His advice to Alan Kyeremateng comes on the back of a resounding victory chalked by Nana Addo in the just ended Super Delegates’ Congress in which Nana Addo, who he describes as an established candidate, polled 598 votes out of 787 votes cast.
Barely three days after Mr. Akufo-Addo romped home to victory after securing more than 80 percent at the party’s special delegates congress, the former Communications Director for the NPP in 2008 issued a statement describing as subversive, calls on three other aspirants – Alan Kyerematen, Francis Addai-Nimoh and Osei Ameyaw, who obtained negligible figures at the polls, to withdraw from the race.
Dr Arthur Kennedy also questioned the two-time NPP Presidential Candidate's credentials as a unifying and peace-loving leader.
“To win, if he (Akufo-Addo) becomes the nominee, he needs a united party that has dealt with corruption and violence and intimidation behind him. To get there, he has huge mountains to climb...Ghanaians would quite properly wonder whether a leader who is not inclusive in his party and will not forthrightly condemn violence or talk of it in his party can unite Ghana and guarantee peace as President,” he said.
To him, Nana Addo has not learnt from the mistakes that led to his defeat in the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections and for that matter, Alan Kyeremateng, who is the “insurgent candidate” in this race must come out strongly in exposing the former NPP leader’s bad reputation concerning violence.

Titus Glover MP NPP
A Legislator of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, says the three flagbearer-aspirants seeking to nudge off two-time presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, from the standard-bearer throne, are “cowards” if they withdrew from the race now.
Alan Kyeremanten, Kofi Osei Ameyaw and Francis Addai-Nimoh are insistent on contesting the former Attorney General in the second congress of the party’s presidential primaries, despite a fair dose of imploration by some Elders within the party, for them to allow Akufo-Addo to go unchallenged in the mega delegates congress scheduled for October 18, 2014, at which event an Electoral College of 141,000 will elect one of the final five as flagbearer for 2016.
Akufo-Addo polled more than 80 percent of votes in the first congress, which was used to whittle down the number of aspirants from seven to five, as stipulated by the party’s constitution, which requires that such a mini congress be held, if more than five people contested the slot.
One of the final five, Joe Ghartey, voluntarily opted out of the race, a day after Sunday’s super delegates’ congress, in response to calls by the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Council of Elders who earlier proposed that whoever secured more than 68 percent of Sunday’s vote, be allowed to go unopposed.
Despite Akufo-Addo’s resounding margin of victory in the first race, three others who made it to the final list are not succumbing to pressure to bow out.
Titus-Glover told private FM station, Radio XYZ Wednesday that the three should be allowed to contest, so their “smoothness level” is made known to them.

Ken Agyapong Merger Alan
New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has taken exception to suggestions that NPP presidential hopeful, Alan Kyerematen, should be begged to step down from the presidential race.
According to him, Mr. Kyerematen managed just eight per cent of valid votes cast during the party’s recently held Special Delegates Congress which Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo topped with over 81 percent of the votes cast.
Mr. Agyapong said the votes that Mr. Kyerematen secured were insignificant, therefore the presidential hopeful doesn’t deserve to be begged to step down from the race.

Ghana is in an economic lyrical limbo with this Mahama Ndc administration and Ghanaians are yearning for a change but a change to what political party? Mr Nduom's PPP, Samia Nkrumah's CPP or the Northern based PNC Parties are not an option. They are only Parties in name and does not register a blip on the political radar. The only alternative party is the NPP but is that party ready to rule the country when it cannot even solve its own internal wranglings? These are the headings of some of the articles coming from the NPP camp;
1. NPP race: You’re a ‘coward’ if you opt out now – MP dares Alan
2. Alan supporters are NDC moles – NPP MP
3.Alan must expose Akufo-Addo’s bad reputation on violence - Arthur K
4.Don’t beg Alan - Ken Agyapong
Columnist: Agyemang, Katakyie Kwame Opoku
5.Never Trust Akufo-Addo; He Would Deceive you in 2016
Reading through all these articles, one gets an impression that NPP stalwarts don't understand the meaning of constructive criticism and has turned constructive criticism into destructive criticism. Choosing a Party Presidential candidate is like a friendly soccer match. Though you want to win, you don't want to play too hard and get your Players injured before the real match where the prize is a treasured cup like African Champions cup or world cup champions.
In the case of NPP, it seems getting the Npp Presidential nominee is more valuable than winning the Presidential elections itself because they are destroying the two likely nominees, Nana Akuffo Addo and Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematten as both camps have embarked on a tintinnabular match of insults it will be an uphill task to repair the damage done and build a party unity that it needs to unseat the incumbent Mahama Ndc government.
As a Nana Akuffo Addo supporter, I blame Nana's supporters for being not too smart and have not learned why Nana lost the 2008 and 2012 elections irrespective of whether we think the elections were stolen. Nana Akuffo Addo is more likely to win the nomination unless somebody can point an igloo in Arizona desert to me in September so his supporters should be more civil and magnanimous to Alan people since we will need Alan and his supporters to scale the wall of victory in 2016 but what do we see from those Nana supporters who are all over the airwaves "demagogueing" Alan and his supporters. Are these diarrhea of the mouth of Nana's supporters the way to win voters to your side?

It is just sad Titus Glover and Kennedy Agyapong have not done indagate to find out why Nana lost in the two previous Presidential elections and they would have found out that what Kennedy Agyapong termed insignificant votes are what led to Nana Akuffo Addo's defeat. How do you appeal to your opponent to back your Presidential aspirations when you call them cowards? Does these people understand that politics is a game of numbers, I mean adding numbers and not subtracting from your political base?
Kennedy Agyapong has not even realized his infamous "Asantes should kill Ewes and Gas" contributed significantly to Nana losing votes from not only Gas and Ewes but all peace loving Ghanaians who love to live in peace even with the economic hardship than to live in plenty and a tribal war torn country?
The face Nana Akuffo Addo supporters show on our televisions and the sophomoric vituperations spastic rantings on radios, especially on Oman Ghana London based callers who don't even have votes and Adom FM radio are driving away voters who might have considered voting for Nana from within Npp and outside NPP.The troth of these callers are questionable not because their loyalty is in doubt but their analytical reasoning is what needs to be calibrated.
If this message gets to Nana Akuffo Addo, he should make a statement and appeal to his supporters who appear on talk shows and callers to talk shows to show their support without insulting others whose votes and support he will need to win the December 2016 elections.
I am also appealing to the other candidates supporters, especially Alan supporters to stop their personal attacks on Nana Akuffo Addo because he is more likely going to win the Npp nomination and they should not make it difficult on themselves to join Nana's campaign in 2016 when all hands are needed on deck to kick the Mhama useless administration from power. The repairing of bridges to the city called UNITY starts now and all Elephant family members should realize we are all in the same boat fighting for a common cause to send Mahama packing to Bole in January 2017.
