Some criminals including ECG officials operate in the night between 1.am - 2.30am to remove our meters thus putting us in complete darkness.

Mr Teye I'm with you. Their installed meters have not been verified by GSA, which is an offence under PURC law LI 2413 for using it to charge you. ECG is the number one thief. PURC too is sleeping on their job.

ECG you are the part, which favours you to check your installed meters for theft. Who calibrated and verified the meters? ECG. So what are you checking? If we talk about cheating ECG are the ones cheating us. The installed meters especially the Longi meters run like Usain bolt. By law, it is an offence to use unverified meter for trade and interestingly PURC looks on for ECG to cheat consumers. It looks as if PURC does not understand their mandate. I have never heard ECG going all out as their slogan to solve power losses. What a country!

The ECG has to know that some of their contractors have given customers lots of faulty meters long time ago and up to now they have not been able to come back to replace it for the customers.

The ECG has to know that some of their contractors have given customers lots of faulty meters long time ago and up to now they have not been able to come back to replace it for the customers.
Also, the meters are being sold by the people whose work it is to issue them for paid customers, but they are not doing anything about that.
All those meter issuing personnel SHOULD be ROTATED frequently to stop the thievery.
I know one guy at Nungua a worker at ECG who wanted to sell a meter to me but when you go to the office there are no meters although you have paid for it long time ago. This practice should be stopped immediately.
I think it is a shame. All those working in connection with the meters issuing should be rotated over and over so they do not steal the meters and sell them outside while the paid customer is living in the dark.
This should be the responsibility of the big men at ECG they have done nothing about that. They should all be fired because they are not doing any good job.
You should see the big houses built by the ECG workers who work around issuing meters. Where did they get the money from. The Auditor General

should keep lots of eyes on these people.
Audit those around the meters often and
often. They are killing the customers whose meters they steal and giving bad name to the ECG and even Ghana.
This thievery should be stopped immediately.
