But that's not the only thing, trotro owners can also get a sense of how much their drivers actually make if passengers pay directly into a designated account. At the end of the day, formal employees are overly burdened with taxes and it's about time the informal sector contribute their fair quota.

In Bawumia's case all he is doing is showing a technology but of no NO USE to the VAST MAJORITYOF EVERYDAY COMMUTERS as compared the one in LONDON which serves millions of commuters on daily bases.

That is what comes of WANTING TO BE AN IT MAN WITHOUT DOING COMPUTING COURSE.

Especially on the trotro aspect, I will suggest that, the govt should formalize the process by ensuring that all the commercial vehicles will go through a validation process to make sure all the vehicles meet the rules and regulations of the tap and go policy before they will be allowed to operate. All the vehicles operating in the country can be given a certain identification colours and some coding numbers. The govt can supply the vehicle owners with some unique vehicles to facelift their operations. To end my opinion, the govt should engage all the stakeholders involve and educate them about the positive impacts of the program and how it can change the fortunes of Ghana

Ghana's trotro operators are in dire need of better roads, for these roads that Bawumia's government has neglected are in such deplorable condition that many vehicles are experiencing constant damage, and as a result, money wasted on vehicle repairs. These repairs then eat into the little profit that the vehicle owners make, and many owners as a result are forced to operate with a loss. Fix the roads, and reduce taxes that these trotros have to pay, so that operators will not have to spend unnecessarily on vehicle repairs. Tap N Go isn't going to do trotro operators any good. It may sound good on paper, but its practicality is almost nil with regards to the lack of systems that will make it worthwhile.

Is Trotro the only form of Transport in Ghana, this Tap & Go can work on the Trains, STC buses,VIP buses and all the numerous Coaches travelling along the various regions.It's the best efficient way for Travellers to cut down queuing time and also to eliminate any discrepancies which may occur during accounting between Drivers & Owners of the Vehicles. It might be helpful to the Police, to track down criminals if it's connected to CCTV.
