Things are not perfect - yet - but on the whole the initiatives cited are indeed very good first steps towards a much-improved Ghana.
I have personally been critical of the manner in which moneys were borrowed and spent beyond our means - I call that irresponsible as that results in bankruptcy, when the government cannot even honour the terms of its bonds - a terrible infectious financial disease. And up to now some infected financial bodies are still not returning moneys people and businesses put in fixed income investments.
Nevertheless, I appreciate the big temptation the government should have resisted. And to have been careful because there could be a COVID and the Ukraine war - never justifiable to go bankrupt.
