    The Cedi WAS NOT introduced in 1958. What was introduced in 1958 was the Ghana Pound, which was used until the early 60s when the Cedi was introduced probably in 1963.

    Cedi as currency was introduced into the country in the 60s long after independence but not in the 50s.The British currency ie pounds/ shillings was what was being used before Nkrumah introduced the cedi. Ps take note.I remem ...
