Wereko Brobbey, holds PhD in solar science. And, in Kuffour"s infinite wisdom, the best job for him was Ceo at Nkrumah's hydro electric dam which their own ancestors classified as "Prestige Project".. His next job was Ceo at the nonsensical Ghana@50, with over 20million dollars at his disposal to import expensive cars for visiting diplomats. Today, he calls himself policy analyst. At least, Mahama, had the foresight to build the Nzema Solar Plant with 150 megawatt capacity. Can you tell us what Wonderful Akufo Addo, has added to the national grid with solar power over the last seven years, please?

Electric cars (EV) can be charged with solar energy and most people who buy EVs will like use solar to charge. Imagine carports with solar, so dumsor will not be an issue.
About charging, indeed, there are no public charging infrastructure YET, but it is coming soon. Charging may not be as relevant as most early adopters of EVs will charge with solar panels at their homes or work. Buses and public transport, etc, can also charge at depots or at the trotro stations.
Lastly, charging anxiety is a worry not range anxiety. Most EVs have enough range for most regular uses.
Lastly, EVs will help reduce air pollution. There are reports of rising air quality during the harmattan.
Anyway, I wish Jospong well

There're public charging facilities in Ghana. Lots in Accra actually. We should increase their numbers. The plan by jospong to have already existing fuel stations also dispense Electricity to electric vehicles is spot on

Batteries from old or "accidented" electric cars EV can used as the Energy Storage back up (imagine a big battery bank) to store the power from the solar panels during the day. This stored power can be used during the night when there is no sun to power your home. Such a house can be off the ECG grid (or have a hybrid system).
One can also recycle the old lead acid batteries for other uses as well.
Reasonably priced EVs from China allow most people to also experience EVs. There is no question EVs reduce the cost of transport at least 66%.

Has ZOOMLION really watched car reviewers reviewing that car online? Cos its one of the most defective car brand in the world. Even American buyers are looking for ways to have a return policy for the cars they bought and get a refund cos that car is wack. Why would you choose to burden Ghanaians with garbage while we're trying to get away from garbage cars? Buy that car at your own cost. I'll choose a Chinese manufacturer over Vinfast. China is the home of electric cars with plethora of manufacturers and price points, why by-pass them to go elsewhere? Just find time and their reviews online.
