Are they not private transport owners ? Do they benefit anything from government. GPRTU know benefits from government. Let Works and Housing also say same to landlords and give them price ceilings. Look this country is a total mess, come out with a PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM operating along side private sector and stop the nonsense orders and what can be done and what cannot be done. Don’t they pay their taxes ?

You people paa. Is running a private transport only depends on fuel? Go to Abbosey Okai if fuel comes down do they reduce their prices? Have you people consider other variables like, engine oil, plugs, filters, tires, etc etc . We must be realistic and stop the nonsense. Do Transport ministry dash them these variables. On what basis do they increase fuel and do what basis is transport fares increase? For over 65 years, we are still struggling with trotro as public transportation. What a country!

Personally, I think the government is hard on the driver's union because it's an election year. I heard a driver said that the transport minister said the drivers' union is trying to make the government unpopular by increasing transport fees. On any normal day, the transport fees will have been increased long time ago. But this man is right, driver's are quick to increase fares and resistance when it comes to reducing it.

What is happening in Ghana. This headline is very disturbing for someone to even make a comment of what if fuel per litre goes up to 23gh. You should be fighting for price to come down below 9gh and not this encouragement to an already savage government. Who will buy fuel at all this astronomical prices in the first place? Stop taking citizens for granted if your conscience has been bought. This is a tactical statement that people will think is helping commuters but rather vice versa to create artificial acceptance for future price inflation of fuel.
