Madam,it's the fetish behavior of your government treasury who tap out the private(working) sector from the money market by offering unreasonable yields on it's instruments these yields compel all the lenders to pack their money into the government and these same government will turn around and say the private sector is the engine of growth, How can you deprive someone of oxygen and expect them to live let alone grow i don't it's insulting but both the unsuspecting electorate and the officials have become delusional

When it comes to handle the government can use to raise revenue to run the country there so so many the first is that Ghana tax code doesn't have a head or tail so it's unable to rake in the necessary tax revenue it's suppose to and instead on rolling their sleeves and getting down and doing the work needed the prefer to ac irresponsibly and resort to fetish things like staving people and business of funds on the money market and expanding the money supply. and work, you are not the only one complaining about the distortion in the fixing of the cost of funds from lending institutions. There are no affordable housing because the exchange rate regime don't support there business model, the same goes to the Agriculture sector and now your sector which are made up of sole proprietors and small businesses and the question is why is that the the cost of funds regime fail to support these crucial sectors?
My answer is irresponsibility on the part of Government, an institution addicted to debt and unable to curtail spending can't be depended upon to set rates that are workable to a broad segment of the population and again the 1992 constitution comes into the equation, it doesn't provide the check and balances a democratic dispensation is suppose to uphold and until Ghanaians find a way to reign their government in they will continue to act this irresponsible simply because no matter how ubsurd their behaviour may be the constitution in it's current state supports them
