  If the airport can accomodate larger cargo planes that would be great for export oriented businesses. Kumasi as an industrial hub will lessen the pressure of unemployment in Accra and on our roads.

  There is a logistics issue with that. Needs solving first before bigger planes can use the airport. Runway length can be extended. The bigger one is aviation fuel supply in a city without a refinery to make that product, or s ...

  There is a logistics issue with that. Needs solving first before bigger planes can use the airport. Runway length can be extended. The bigger one is aviation fuel supply in a city without a refinery to make that product, or storage depots to store it. Driving tankers of aviation fuel up from the capital is a problem but that would have to be done to refuel planes in Kumasi. There will need to be regular tanker trains from Tema to Kumasi to deliver enough aviation fuel before large numbers of planes can use that airport for international flights
