  You're very right, Politicians will always complain about how low thew pay for politicians is, yet they continue to spend millions of cedis campaigning to get elected. These politicians often become rich either by using their appointed positions to collect bribes, or they use their influence in Parliament to secure contracts for themselves and others. When they secure contracts for others, they often end up having money passed on to them through third parties in order to mask the scent of corruption. That South African African report should not be dismissed until the authorities in Ghana have an opportunity to pursue it further.
