The Nigerian NNPC from where Rawlings Government copied G-NPC has moved beyond being a state controlled Enterprise to the globally accepted Private Business Enterprise. Nigerian NNPC has now been turned into a conglomerate Private Enterprise with private individuals stakes as share holders as the practice across the globe. The Netherlands, Norwegians, Americans etc are into private ownership of oil resources and only pay taxes I nto Government revenues. Ghana should follow the new trends in global oil business and diversify oil business as happening in Nigeria and major oil producing countries across the globe. Ghana completely copied tge Norwegian oil practices but Norway has moved on in the privatization of oil business and Ghana continues to promote the declining oil production under the control of Government Enterprenurship "GNPC" Ghana should adopt globally accepted oil business as the rest of the world keeps moving on, on new trends daily.
