Some of the banks had become illiquid at the time of revocation. Others had the shareholders plundering the bank's resources for their personal gain. You dont restore certificates to such people.

The biggest problem is that the original clean up exercise has not been brought to a satisfactory end. That is primarily true because the government is lacking the necessary funds to fulfil it's promises.

The biggest problem is that the original clean up exercise has not been brought to a satisfactory end. That is primarily true because the government is lacking the necessary funds to fulfil it's promises.

Regular bancruptcy proceedings should have been ordered, monitored by judges, bringing each process to its individual end, which could very well be a new license for a recapitalized few.

However, the situation is just another super chaotic mess of which this government has left so many. Each one being a huge empty hole for sinking public money.

Repairing that mess now is near impossible. It should be left to those treated unfairly to take their individual cases to court and have them play out judically.

We will see about all the big promises after the election is over and done with.
