Tagging an Airport "International" does not confer International operational standards to it. How many International Airlines have made Kumasi Airport a destination and where from the passengers arriving and for what economic engagement in a landlocked Kumasi enclave. This is a territory that have been taunted as a Kingdom but refuses to pay taxes commensurate to its status. We should get serious in this country and stop deceiving ourselves. Certainly no International Airline will ply Kumasi route if the operational cost is not sustainable. Period.!

Most likely you'll still touch down at Kotoka Airport in Accra and a local connection flight takes you to Kumasi depending on which Airline has such arrangements upon your purchase of tickets flying into Ghana. The globally recognized Airlines like the KLM, British Airline, Lufthansa, Emirates, Ethiopian, Delta Airline etc. will never fly to Kumasi just for the self agradicement of Kumasi people. Get this facts right because Kumasi is not an attractive international business route for any non Ashantis to want to fly into. Basic Facts.!!
