Free SHS was introduced in 2015 not now. In Ghana today we do not have academic calendar. Children sit at home now than they go to school. Are you for real? And what infrastructure are you talking about?

1. Give me just one hospital that was built from scratch by NPP during the past 7.5years?
2. Give just one school built by NPP from scratch to finish in the past 7.5 years?
3. You talk about free shs and you do not build school. You expect children to go to school under trees.

Why should that hospital be built from scratch??? What sense does it make to go about building hospitals from scratch when existing ones have not been completed... dont have constant electricity ... and dont have ambulances?? ...

Nana Addo has built the UHAS extension... provided ambulances to the country hospitals and not mere ato-forson bone-shakers. Roads leading to those hopitals have been built as well. Till today , regional ministers of the NPP , national communication officers of the NPP can't pinpoint just one hospital or school built by this govt . They can't name one talkless of providing pictures to prove .

@BlessingK apart from the accusations by Hon Ike Adongo that Govt has become notorious for fidgeting with data, the positives of these borrowings is providing basic education for the masses and some of the infrastructure projects including administrative(executive) policies will have a multiplier effect and drive economic growth that will automatically go into the servicing of the loan amounts
As for the accusations it's for the people and their government what they intend to do about the situation

Because no government experienced covid but then if donor inflow was so huge during covid you can't really use covid as an excuse. But in all this much as l blame the current government for the shit hole we are in l wil say we lost it when we failed to bring about rapid development of the Economy when all our debts were written of in the Kuffuor era.

What the data tells us is that something is fundamentally wrong with our economic management and all the various governments that we've had have virtually followed that flawed trend. The only time the debt actually reduced in dollar terms was under Kuffour and that was thanks largely to HIPC which also helped stabilised the cedi. Soon after, the fundamentals were exposed big time once again. If we don't focus on the economics and continue with the politics ad usual instead, our debt stock will definitely swallow us irrespective of which government comes to power. The debt restructuring is only giving us breathing space to decide that we are going to get it right this time round.

The 742 billion doesn't include the $2+ US dollars in power sector debts. COCBOD is also highly indebted, and many other state institutions are equally indebted.

Also, there's been no debt servicing from 2022 to 2024, that's 3 whopping years of insolvency.

Losses at BoG, ECG, and others have not been accounted for. Yet the same people who presided over all these are now the loudest.

Ghana was indeed a crime scene from 2017 to 2024.
