Sending the raw gold outside to be refined does not make sense because we lose a lot so, we thank the government for such incredible refinery.

That said, the refinery is for Ghana and those who will be hired to work in the facility should make a priority to keep the place as a good working environment because apart from giving employment, it is Ghana's property, and we should keep it as such for future generations.

Even if the refinery is 100% owned by Royal whatever, the refinery is in Ghana and will employ Ghanaians. Also, any residue from the refined gold is in Ghana and can be used, for other things.

While I can't be specific in giving the right figures about how much Ghana lose in refining her gold outside, I can tell you that it runs into billions of dollars approximately.

He imported gold refining equipment which was left to rust after his overthrow in 1966. Look at how long it has taken to build a refinery. According to the website of PMMC it was established in 1963 during the administration of Nkrumah. This shows that his overthrow set Ghana back over sixty years.
