  Many people still don't understand why Nkrumah sent Ghanaians to study in the Eastern Bloc countries and China. The answer is a simple one; her majesty the Queen of Britain refused to allow the govt of Ghana to send students to Britain to study. This is something no Ghanaian must forget. In those days a black person was not allowed to study in almost every state in the United States. Moreover, the Eastern Bloc countries allowed Ghanaians to study free of charge. The only problem was the language.

  Attraction of FDI is based on several factors. It is not enough to say my country is conducive for investment. Good business environment means good policing, great legal system void of underhand dealings, a political system free from victimization, microeconomics and several other factors. Business is sometime compelled to litigate, as some people may not be fair. At what speed can my case be settled in a fair manner? It is important to leverage the prowess of the local entrepreneur for the engine of growth. FDI could be repatriating profit, which can put pressure on foreign exchange.
