  The good people of Ghana should not take Cocobod seriously. Cocobod has been mismanaged to the extent that it is now a debt junkies. Cocobod was actually supposed to post a loss of GHC 4.3 Bn this year but they resorted to engage in a debt restructuring to cook the books to make it look good financially. This debt restructuring resulted in Cocobod postponing some payment obligations to 2026-2028 and slashing interest payment to their debtors/bond holders by almost 1/3 (one-third). Eg payments interest were slashed from 30% to 13%. This debt restructuring resulted in cooking the books to make a profit of Ghc 2.3. Bn. Cocobod can therefore not borrow from within again. Since they can't borrow externally and internally, they will cede that right to traders. Cocobod is therefore going to be a useless entity. This is how far Nana Addo and his government have brought us. It's a sad situation
