  What is Dr. Obeng saying. Temporary ban of mining activities in the forest reserves, in the river bodies, along rivers banks to reduce the turbidity of our water supply is a good start. This is not politicizing anything. The cost to reclaim any of our destroyed lands is huge; the cost on our health is unthinkable so let’s not discuss the economic benefits to a few against the generational loss we are having. I hope GUTA sits up to this common sense initiative.
