  I have a case in which the bank refused to pay the deceased money in his accounts after the person obtained Letters of Administration from a court.
  Not only that the woman who became a single parent after the death of her husband was granted power to administer the estate of the late husband by the court.
  Banks must enable their customers to sign documents that may enable their dependants to access their bank accounts after the death of the owner of the accounts.
  Unfortunately, that is not done. The banks will frustrate you until you become feed up and leave the accounts with them.
  That has been the case of with insurance companies and even SSNIT.

  The name of the next-of-kin stated on the books should be enough if the banks want to be fair to its deceased customers.
