There is no hope of ECOWAS countries using any common currency in the foreseeable future.

The use of a common currency has been like shifting a goalpost in an attempt to score a goal because as some of the countries try to meet the criteria set, others draw them back.

The whole thing is like daydreaming which would never come into being. Let us forget it and think of how we can strengthen our individual currencies.

The Presidential debate held in Tamale featuring the then Prez. Mahama,Dr Sakara, Mr Ayariga and our current Prez. revealed the outmoded state of our present constitution when it came to our National Development the framers lacking experience in the department of Nation Building had to rely on their mere imagination and speculation something equivalent to wishful thinking and such a subject matter people must apply the best brain they can summon to understudy, become conversant and try applying it to real life situation. The current Prez. tried reconciling the Statutes as stipulated in the constitution to the practically of implementing such policy on the grounds and no matter how much he tried he always fell short because of the inherent deficiency the framers embedded in the Constitution
