Selling meters to consumers should be a non-starter as it makes no sense and will be counter-productive. Instead provide quality meters and adjust tariffs with a small surcharge for maintenance.
The meters are for sale at the ecg offices currently, so why not? Sell them so it becomes private property. We need efficiency and 24 hrs. lights.

if you want to prevent illegal connection , prepaid meter is the best option.
ECG did not want to use the prepaid because the recharging money goes direct to the selected account, that make it difficult to steal the money or ...
