  One can always trust these our so-called Financial Analysts, Experts and what have you on various aspects of our economy to show that they are cometely out of touch with our local conditions. How can any properly educated person possibly summon the courage to suggest that Ghanaians are not paying enough for their use of electricity? The most minimal use of electricity in this country can attract bills which far exceed the means to pay. Now whether the ECG is privatized or not, the badly paid working class in this country will still be unable to meet the cost of electricity usage unless the cost is revised downward with govt picking up the difference. How any private investor can consider putting his money in such a volatile situation without cheating on the side to make profit, beats my mind. I would also warn the govt that any attempt to increase the cost of electricity usage, will spell the end of their post electoral win honeymoon.

  Yes for privatization a not if you say we are not paying realistic tariffs. In terms of energy, Ghana is one of the most expensive in Africa despite the abundance of energy resources we have.

  Yes for privatization a not if you say we are not paying realistic tariffs. In terms of energy, Ghana is one of the most expensive in Africa despite the abundance of energy resources we have.
  
  The real issue is power losses through theft and misuse of power and no payments by Government. The impact of Forex losses as the power for distribution is bought in $ is yet another problem.
  
  Salaries are relatively lower and liking tariffs will increase untold suffering
