  BRICS is nothing but another strategy of the white man and his allies to continue the sabotage of African Unity. All the countries in the BRICS except South Africa are strong allies of the white man (US, UK and EU) and they are using so many different tactics to stop Africa from achieving a U.S.A. If these BRICS countries wanted to actually help Africa develop, they would've done it long time ago! Russia was used by Nato to strongly befriend Lybian Gaddafi and learn all his secrets. What happened to Gaddafi after? All his movement for African Unity was tarnished and destroyed by Nato (the white man), a BIG setback to African liberation.
  Joining these international groupings creates economic confusion among the countries because there are specific rules and regulations for member nations to follow and Africa as a continent does not have the time and resources to spend. Africa should rather create it's own G54 and stop falling for the tricks of the white man and his allies!
