Whilst he was there, their best approach was to borrow from foreign sources recklessly. Government is now borrowing from its citizens so that they also make some interest and this stupid guy says what? Nonsense!

Must you be educated on the importance of CAPITAL SOURCING from the local capital market as opposed to foreign capital market. The government could think of adding a more long-term options on the market. (1). The interests received by investors remain in the country (2). reduces the impact of inflation of the cedi against Foreign currency to which our external creditors need be settled.

I totally disagree with the assessment of the former minister of finance, yes, the recent drop in T- bills rates is not the result of any innovative policy. However, it can be attributed to the restrict fiscal policy of this current government.
In other words, government is reducing expenditure, leading to a drop in spending. Making it possible for government to sell less T- bills in a market of strengthen investor confident and their desire to buy government debt. Because there is more than enough investors chasing government debt than what government needs, it makes it possible for a fall in prices.
In ecomomic terms, supply is now more than demand= drop in price.
